Make Cold Brew With Your French Press

Let’s make some cold brew! There’s nothing easier and it’s delicious.

We love using what we have on hand to make great coffee, so we’re going to tell you how to make cold brew coffee at home using your French press. If you don’t actually have a French press, well, you can get one here, and when you combine it with a bag of coffee it’ll qualify for Free Shipping with code FREESHIP.

  • Start by grinding your coffee as you usually would for French press, which is to say, a bit coarsely (closer to Kosher salt than table salt).

  • Take 6 ounces of it (or 3/4 cup if you don’t have a scale) and put that in your 8-cup French press.

  • Fill it up with filtered cold water. Let that sit on your counter for about 12 hours, then plunge. Keep it in the fridge and drink it within a day or two or three.

Enjoy.

P.S. If you have some coffee lying around that’s getting a little old, cold brew is the perfect solution. Likewise, coffee that’s really fresh is a bit wasted on cold brew, although when it’s this hot do what you gotta do.
