This sun-dried coffee is produced by hundreds of smallholders. who pick the landrace cherries and bring them to Faysal Yonis's washing station in Nensebo. Nensebo is within the West Arsi zone, just northeast of the better-known Sidamo in the southern Oromia region. This coffee is not washed, it's natural, which means it's dried in the fruit for 2+ weeks. Read more about coffee processing here.
Jared from Hacea Coffee (who imported it) told us, "Faysel owns the washing station in Nensebo in addition to about 25 other washing stations now! When I first starting buying from him I believe he had four washing stations. His rapid growth is well-deserved. He puts his all into the people and the product that he handles."
This is a limited-edition coffee, so get it while it lasts!
This is the final offering in our 30th Anniversary series, featuring bag labels designed by local artists Ash Ulmer (Sandhill), Tab Hansen (Fruit Hat), Heather Bergerson (Colombia Huila), and Marie Shriver (Ethiopia Werka Nensebo).
